We have two trained technicians that look after servicing, sharpening, maintenance and repairs on all the brands we sell - and many other common brands.
Head technician Jim Ellison has close to 50 years’ experience working with Stihl equipment, and he is supported by his apprentice – Alex Kleinjan who started with us in 2016.
For most of the year the guys manage to turn around jobs inside a week, or often 1-3 days if the job is routine. It is only during spring and January that these times (particularly for lawnmowers) may extend due to seasonal demand. Other key information about our workshop:
Chain sharpening (off the saw – no machine present) costs $19.80, or $30 for a duro chain;
Chain sharpening (on the saw) costs $22.50, or $30 for a duro chain;
Chain sharpening is usually completed within 24 hours;
Contractors jobs, and particularly critical jobs will be prioritised whenever possible;
We can quote on larger jobs, however a minimum inspection/diagnosis fee of $45.00 applies;
Inspection/diagnosis fees are incorporated into the job cost where repairs proceed, however they remain payable even when a repair is not viable/carried out;
We are usually willing to partially or fully refund the inspection fee if a new machine is purchased within the following month;
All Stihl warranties are void if machines have been modified or fitted with non Stihl parts.
We use only genuine Stihl parts.
Most major consumable Stihl parts are held in stock, and non stocked parts are usually delivered in 1 -2 week days.
